postheadericon How We Work

Work Hours, Materials and Job Practices.

We use only premium quality materials from respected manufacturers like Porter Paints, Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore. If you have a brand preference, let us know and we'll try to accommodate you. (Some products don't give good results, and we won't use products that perform poorly. We'll suggest alternatives in these rare situations.)

At least one day before we start your project, we'll call you to let you know to expect a crew, and what time you can expect them.

Our crews work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We can often accommodate a different work schedule (for example, working evenings or weekends), but this can increase the cost of your project significantly.

On Mondays, our crews have a weekly safety and training meeting, where we address safe work practices and keep up-to-date with the latest and painting techniques OSHA standards. On Mondays, this means that our crews will arrive between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM to begin work.

Once on the job site, our crews will protect the areas to be painted as needed with drop cloths, contractor paper or plastic sheeting as appropriate. We will attempt to be as unobtrusive as possible, and will always remember that we are working in your home or business at your invitation and will behave as such. We won't smoke inside your home or business and you won't find cigarette butts strewn around your property. You won't have to listen to blaring radios on the job site.

In order to obey state and federal labor laws, our crews will take one half-hour lunch at mid-day and will take breaks as specified in the state and federal regulations. Currently, this includes two ten-minute breaks throughout the work day. Our compliance with these regulations is already figured into the scope of your painting proposal.

Our crews will perform the work as quickly as possible while meeting our high standards. At the end of the day, they will clean the work site. If we are finishing the work, our crew will leave the site clean. If we are stopping for the day on a continuing job, they will straighten up and move our equipment to give you reasonable access to the room or site. When we finish the job, the crews will label any touch up paint and leave it on the job site where you can easily find it.

When the job is completed, your estimator/project manager will give you a call and ask if everything was completed to your satisfaction. If it was not, please let us know and we'll see that the situation is quickly and satisfactorily resolved.

We never forget that we are working for you, and your satisfaction with our work is our over-riding goal.
